ELIX Polymers celebrates 40 years of experience in ABS manufacturing

Tarragona, November 10, 2015 – The chemical company ELIX Polymers celebrates 40 years on the market. Thanks to numerous investments and innovations, it has become one of the main ABS manufacturers in Europe.

With its plant in Tarragona, Spain, and with a production capacity of 180 kilo-tonnes per year, ELIX has strived, especially in recent years, to be the one of the leading companies in Europe for ABS specialities. It is a customer-oriented company which offers personalised service and a wide selection of products whilst being committed to environmental sustainability and promoting the professional development of its more than 250 employees.

Based upon its continuous improvement policy, ELIX has developed a strategic plan to offer added value to its customers in terms of the SERVICES offered. This policy is based on key factors like flexibility, closeness with clients, proactivity, global scope and custom-tailored services.

In addition, the company has ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications – something which allows them to ensure the quality of not only their products but also their management whilst upholding the responsibilities of the chemical sector by responsibly making use of natural resources, energy resources and waste management.

The Sun European Partners, LLP investment group has been a shareholder since 2012. As a result, ELIX has achieved great global presence –currently maintaining sales relationships with more than 40 countries– through an extensive network of sales managers, agents and distributors in Europe, America, Africa and Asia.

"We are proud of the things we've achieved and thankful to everyone who has trusted our company throughout these 40 years. The best way to celebrate is by taking on new challenges. That's why one of the strategic steps has been to renew our Corporate Identity and strengthen our communications policy to emphasise what sets us apart: the tailored services that ELIX offers," states Wolfgang Doering, CEO.
