We commit to collaborating with suppliers who meet sustainability criteria and respect human rights..
Our supply chain sustainability strategy centres mostly on the upstream part of the chain because we know that the raw materials we use for our business as well as transporting them, have environmental and social impacts that could be minimised through responsible purchasing. As far as impacts in the rest of the chain, these are already considered in other programmes of our strategy.
We extend our sustainability policy to all of our suppliers, which is conveyed through our local purchasing and supplier certification. By signing our collaboration contract, suppliers commit to working with high safety levels and complying with human rights standards, and labour and anti-corruption regulations as outlined in the Global Compact.
We have advanced in our definition of a new purchasing policy which will include sustainability criteria for assessing new suppliers using an assessment protocol that will incorporate environmental and social factors.
We are very resilient!
Despite the pandemic, and thanks to the fact that we had a committee who thoroughly monitored our supply chain, we took the necessary measures to maintain a high level of service with very little impact on our customers.
