ELIX Polymers collaborates with the Food Bank foundation of the region of Tarragona
As part of their mission to have a positive impact on the social welfare of their local area, ELIX Polymers, a world leading thermoplastics manufacturer, has provided its collaborators the possibility of donating an amount equivalent to its Christmas basket to a non-profit organisation.
ELIX's collaborators who have decided to donate the amount equivalent to its Christmas basket, have chosen to donate it to the Food Bank Foundation of the region of Tarragona, an organisation made up of volunteers that help thousands of people in need in the province of Tarragona.
On 10 January, Sergi Pérez, Coordinator of ELIX Polymer's CSR Programme, Judith Bartolomé, People Technician at ELIX Polymers, and Sandra Castanedo, Communication Technician at ELIX Polymers, travelled to the office of the Food Bank Foundation of the region of Tarragona to learn about their work and personally make a donation of €480. A symbolic act where the president of the Food Bank of the region of Tarragona, Eusebio Alonso, accepted the donation and expressed his gratitude: “In the name of the 40,000 people that benefit from the food bank in the province of Tarragona, we would like to thank you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts".
Thanks to this initiative, carried out with the solidarity and generosity of a few collaborators, ELIX has helped meet the basic needs of vulnerable families.
